In this help, we will talk about all the facts about Laffy Taffy and how it may contain gluten. Read on to find out the whole truth.

Is Laffy Taffy free of gluten?

Laffy Taffy, which is sweet and chewy, does not have any gluten in it. It has no gluten in any of its products, but is that enough to make it safe for people with gluten allergies? No, sorry. There are a few other important rules that all gluten-free foods must follow.

FDA has set a few rules for producers to follow in order to make gluten-free goods.

  • The product should have gluten levels of 20 ppm or less.
  • It can’t have any wheat or barley products, either as ingredients or as flavorings.
  • The items must be made from a plant that doesn’t use gluten.
  • Lastly, it has to pass a test to see if it has gluten.

Laffy Taffy doesn’t have gluten, but it doesn’t meet the other three requirements either. Ferrara Treat’s website does not list Laffy Taffy as a gluten-free treat that has been tried. This means that it has not been tested. People with celiac disease or high sensitivity to gluten could die if they chose a product that didn’t say it was gluten-free. There is always a chance of getting into touch with gluten goods, so it’s not risk-free.
